El Mirage

Jonas and me went today to the desert. We started at 4:00 in the morning and after two hours we were in the middle of nowhere. We went off road and drove on small paths, till we reached the salt lakes, where we raced the Van over the flats. Afterwards we went to a nice restaurant, called Antonio's, where I had some really good mexican food.

Early Morning Surf & Shopping in Downtown

I got up at 7:00 and went with Jonas to the Beach at Isla Vista. I got into my wetsuit, took my softboard and jumped into the water. The water was very cold, but swimming against the waves was so strenuous that I was warm. After one hour I suddenly saw a seal right next to me. That was really cool. In the afternoon Jonas and I went to some Surf & Skate stores, because Jonas needed some new booties and I needed some too. Afterwards we went to another beach to walk with the dogs.

Mud Football

Today,Bryn and I went to a friends house to watch the Superbowl. After the first half, we went to a field and I played my first mud football game. We just did that because it rained the last two days (what is very unusual for that place) and so the field was real wet. It was quite fun, until a 7 feet tall guy knocked me out. Next week I'll go surfing the first time and I'm very excited for that!
